Volkswagen Group of America announced the appointment of Jeanine Ginivan as Director of Communications (press release, August 28).
This marks Ginivan’s return to the company: she previously led corporate and internal communications at Volkswagen, but in 2018 she moved to General Motors, where she held senior roles in communications and government affairs.
In her new role, she will oversee all communications across Volkswagen’s North American operations and report directly to Kjell Gruner, the company’s President and CEO. Her responsibilities will include corporate, product, and internal communications, as well as public relations strategies.
Gruner emphasized that Ginivan’s experience in corporate communications, workforce engagement, sustainability, and government affairs “makes her an excellent fit for our company and the direction we are heading.”
Prior to this appointment, Ginivan served as Executive Vice President at Curley Company, advising a global healthcare nonprofit on crisis planning and business development.
